Battleship
By Amber

Clip to ScrapBook
I did a modification of battleship to teach area and how to use a grid. Each student makes a game board and they have to put certain types of boats on it. I give them a specific area for each boat, ex= sailboats must have an area of 8 cubes, yachts 16 cubes and cruise ships 20 cubes. They play it like battleship where one person guesses different positions on the board and it is a hit or a miss. You could use this on a family night by laminating grid paper so it could be used again and again. Good luck!
