I used them years ago and am using them again now in my 3rd grade. They are great for independent reading practice (center?) and can be individualized for skill levels. They have practice in a wide range of phonetic skills that kids need AND are tested on. ( I think it is important to keep in mind what kids need when there is so much emphasis on testing.) The cost is reasonable too compared to many "programs". They take up very little space and if you laminate the cards or tape the spines they last forever. (Some of us have been teaching that long !) The kids seem to like them, but if all the grades use them year after year the kids get bored. That's why we got away from them for a while.
