As a newly minted MS in elementary ed who is in her mid 40's...please, please, please hang in there! Especially if you have children who may require after school care. (If your kids are grown, or you've got family/really reliable care, go for it!) Believe me when I say, there are no jobs out there for the reg. ed. folks. Think carefully before you get out...you just may not be able to get back in. If you've got tenure, ignore your obnoxious admin. You can be there when that person is just a disturbing memory. My advice, keep your head low and cash the paycheck. Look the kids in the eyes and remember they're the ones your working for, not your principal. Good luck, my sister!
