Wow! All of those are fabulous books! The only one I have not read cover to cover is Setting Limits... If you are looking for a book that just helps you establish routines and expectations, I suggest Wong's book. If you| want to read about a philosophy, something to pattern your teaching and discipline behaviors after, read Love and Logic. If you want a straight-forward "do it like this in your classroom" book read Tools for Teaching. Like I said they are all great books but I feel that Tools for Teaching is the hardest to implement because you really have to make sure you use all of the ideas in the | |
book for it to work. For me, Love and Logic CHANGED my job and my classroom. I would have quit teaching had I not read that book! If you're still unsure, page through a few of these at the library/bookstore. That may give you a better idea. And don't forget ebay or abebooks.com!
