I also started literture circles last year. I did it during my center time. I also picked the more mature ones and let them choose the book. I did the jobs like listed above that I got from a BERG (I think it was) seminar that we went to. I was amazed at their conversations and connections they made about the books. I am ready to start them again this year. I will start with 2 groups usually a boy and a girl group of 3 in a group. I am changing my reading group due to kids moving etc. I figured nows a good time to start.
