We have extended day program for those who need extra help in Math and Reading (M and W for Reading, Tues. and Thurs. for Math). I do 8th grade math. Great, wonderful idea and I strongly support it (that's why I signed up for it) but it's been 3 weeks and we still haven't gotten the books to teach them with. And I teach 4th, so I don't have appropriate materials for 8th graders who can tell the difference between real work and busy work. It's driving myself and the eighth graders to boredom right now because it feels like wasted time after-school. If it's so important and looks great on paper, why haven't they sent us the supplies yet? AHHHH, sorry for two vents but come on now....
