Stand your ground
By Krissy

Clip to ScrapBook
If you excused these students who are struggling from part of their hw, then there is no reason why the extra reading can't get done. I know everyone has busy lives and there can be extenuating circumstances, but the children need the support at home. I would talk to your team members and get their feedback. I agree with other post, ask the student to at least do the reading at home. You may want to assign something with the reading, such as the a sheet where the child can list their reactions. Have the child actually list what troubles he was having such as words he did not know. Good Luck!!!
