Say child's name and nonemotional voice. "Susie, what were you doing?" If she does not respond you say it again in a more questioning tone. If she lies, you say it again with disbelief and dissappointment in your voice.

If she responds by saying "talking" you say "What were you supposed to be doing?" and she should redirect.
