divide your student sinto groups and have them partner with someone to do the chapters. Have them focus on the theme and create their own characters or make it a modern day version. I think this is a great idea. Have students illustrate each page. Design a rubric so that students will put a lot of effort into each piece not just the drawings. See if you can have students put in ryming words or words that are used in K-1 phonics. Or do an alphebet story. Highlight the letters in order from a to z. T-tiny tim-S is for Scrooge, b- is for bahum bug. For your students focus on plot and theme and character analysis. The students should dress up and present the story to the kindergartners or have recorded on tape for them so they can follow along. have fun
