try to help
By Ros

Clip to ScrapBook
This is a story that I learned witht the reading program I am doing that teaches sounds. The students seem to like it and remember it. I do not have my book here with the story but I will try my best.
The letter
"w" wanted to earn some money so he decides to babysit. He ends up babysitting the letter "a". But 'w' is not a good babysitter, so when the parents/guardians leave, he says to the letter 'a' "You go to bed right now. NO tv! No Nintendo! No snack! Just go to bed right now!" The letter 'a' says, "Aaww, I don't want to go to bed right now." But 'a' listens to babysitter 'w'.
The next morning, 'a' says to his mother," Mom, I didn't like that babysitter. Can I have a new one, please."
So the next time, 'a' has a new babysitter. The letter 'u' comes in to babysit. 'U' is a copycat, and when the parents leave, 'u' does the same thing. He says to 'a', "YOu go to bed right now! No tv! No Nintendo! No snack! Just go to bed right now!"
'A' replies, "Aaauuu, I don't want to go to bed right now." But he does.

This can also finish up with the twin brothers 'l' and 'l' so that you have 'all'.
I don't know if this helps, but it works really well in the program I use. It has lots of stories like this for the sounds.
