New Teacher Blues...
By Lisa

Clip to ScrapBook
I think that it is great that you are at least seeking help rather than being frustrated alone... I think that you may be able to look back on the Multiple Intelligences theories and be able to relate that all of your students learn differently. If you make them do a skit(kinesthetic), write on a specific part of the state(Linguistic)(so that they dont have to be masters in everything just a lot in one thing)and teach the class about that one part(this can also be done in sets of 2-3, middle schoolers love group work),or they can debate on their own knowledge about the state. I hope that you don't give up eventually they will come around, some groups are just hard to get to!
