Tattling
By KKC

Clip to ScrapBook
I have an idea that works like MAGIC for ME!

While in my student teaching ages back, I had a issues with tatteling. I finally asked a child, WHAT do they want ME to do now that you have shared this info with me. The response
was profound. He said,

"Well, nothing, I just wanted to say it!"

This gave me an idea . .

I took some brown paper and crunched, and twised the paper into a 'pseudo' ear. It is called the 'Tattling Ear". The kids are instructed that if they are going to barf or are bleeding, I WANT and NEED to know that . .BUT anything else, they need to tell the ear.

I wish you could

see how GREAT it works. The kids will QUIETLY go up and whisper in this paper ear, that so and so touched then or took their crayon, and then quielty go back to their seat.

EVERYONE who sees it is amazed . . .it has been years, and I am CONSTANTLY amazed and how well it works.

The is not huge, but about half the size of a 5 year old. I hang it on the wall, right at their height.

Any questions. let me know . .

Hope this helps . .
