Woes
By Ron

Clip to ScrapBook
It would be so easy to preach about virtue, desire and strength. To tell you the truth, any teacher who has taught in an urban school has felt the way you feel. In truth, teaching in filthy, underfunded, parents-could-care-less
schools stinks. But its those gems you teach called children that you must remember when you want to leave. Leaving is easy and leaving is probably better for your health and spirit. But your conscience will gnaw at your soul, because you'll always wonder if you really could have made a difference. You'll always asked yourself was completing a portrait that was already half done (suburban
schools) worth more than creating a masterpiece from scratch. I dunno. Hang in there. You're not wrong for what you're feeling or for what you might do. I just hope t he good people don't continue to leave urban schools.
