mult. ball
By nicole

Clip to ScrapBook
I was the vollyball coach when we got brand new balls, so I took a few old ones and drew on them with a sharpie. Basically I made like puzzle pieces/box type shapes and inside each one I put a number from 1-12. I would
have the kids sit on their desks and toss the ball. As the ball was in the air either I or the kid who threw it would say a finger (thumbs, pinkies, etc) and whoever caught it had to multiply the numbers in the boxes those fingers were in. If they got it correct, they tossed the ball on, if not they tossed it back and had to sit down in their desk and they were "out". I ended up having
to make rules about how hard to throw the ball and "snake eyes" (looking one way and throwing it hard another direction)and of course talking when they didn't have the ball. As they got better and better I would say something like multiply your thumbs and subtract your right pinky. The kids love it and would beg to play. Good luck!
