Just one more angle on all of this. All of us work over and above our job descriptions with very few perks. So you are entitled to use this reward as you see fit for all your efforts. In addition, if your husband is anything like mine, he often helps me do my job: watching the children when I have a night meeting, building something for a project, helping at the school festival, building shelves in the classroom, etc. etc. So you could look at it as a thank you gift for his help with your class. Enjoy !
