Phonics intervention program: SIPPS (Systematic instruction in phonics and phonemics), distributed by Developmental Studies Center, Texas
This program has three levels: Beginning, Extension, and Challenge. A third grader
who is behind could begin with Extension. It leads students through a series of daily drills that help the students become more automatic in applying phonics to their reading. You can do a lesson in a small group time of about 20-30 minutes, even though it would be great to have 45! The program is authored by John Shefelbine, University of California at Sacramento.

A really inexpensive

computer program is Super Phonics, but I can't remember the vendor. It is under $50.

Lexia is another computer program, more expensive, but has a range that could serve any level from beginning phonics to 4th graders learning latin derivitives such as chromo, bio, etc.
