Options?

Have you considered other options? Consider taking a leave of absence for medical reasons. Sometimes removing yourself from it all and looking at the problem from another point of view might help but you don't have to resign to do that. What are the hotspot problems? Can they be solved with help? Sometimes others don't know the the gravity of the situation but they are willing to help.
