bribery

Clip to ScrapBook
Bribery is all I can think of. It will probably have to be something large at first and then maybe scale it down after awhile. I would have a conference with the parents first, alone, with out the child. They need to be made to understand THEY are responsible for this child, not you. Your are the teacher, but they are the PARENTS> Teachers are not magicians!

Try to come up with a plan for home and school. If you can get them behind you , you will probably have a better chance.

After that is in place, try to meet alone with the child. Find out why he does not work. Most children naturally want to please the teacher/adults. It may take awhile to get to the bottom of it, but I am sure once you do you will find some way to help him.
