Not too much
By AmberM

Clip to ScrapBook
75 simple addition facts is not to much to ask of a second grader. Most all of my FIRST graders can do 100 fact problems (to 18) in ten minutes by the end of the year. Our school/district has us start timing them at the end of the first nine weeks. So 75 for a second grader should not be a chore. I think the mother doesn't give a flip about the homework or enforcing your homework policy. I would suggest to quit stressing over it and let her grade reflect what she does do even if she makes a 1. You have tried to help establish a sence of responsibility with in the child but if the parent doesn't back you and work with you then it's really a lost cause in the long run. I bet thet the Mom will be sorry in later years when that child is just a memory to you.
