75 math problems
By JEB

Clip to ScrapBook
It's your classroom, so stick to your rules, but personally I think 75 math problems is ridiculous. (This is no slam against you -- but rather the program that requires that of 2nd grades.)

Sitting down to do 75 problems would be extremely boring if the kids already know their math facts. If they don't know them, it's going to be a major struggle and maybe they should be focusing on one fact at a time. I just think we can assess whether or not kids know their math facts with a lot fewer than 75 problems.

Good luck!
