Clip to ScrapBook
I teach in a Title I school, and we all have new Dells (at least two in each classroom) and a computer lab with 40+ new computers. I've heard that some of the more well-to-do schools in my district don't have this updated technology.
I just finished sending out a letter to my parents about two new web sites available to our kids (our math book is online and the state provides a site for standardized test prep.) I think about half of my kids could find a computer to use for these things. Obviously, the more affluent kids have computers in their homes, and their parents use them. These are the kids who are more likely to use computers because they have seen it used and have regular access.
