applesauce, funny story

I don't have a great way to make applesauce, but I am quite famous for making it. I decided to make it one fall to wrap up a unit on apples. However, I'm not one for following recipes. Usually they always come out great, but not this time. I used crab apples (because they were free) which was my first mistake and then I dumped in way too much cinnamon. Needless to say, it turned out horrible. Nobody but one desperate child would eat it. I still have students come back to my class (who are in high school now!) and remind me of the time we made "applesauce" Oh well, it makes a great memory
