Harcourt Trophies
By teachfla

Clip to ScrapBook
We've been using Harcourt Trophies for three years now. It is not just reading, but a full language arts program. The stories are good (lots of kid favorites) but there is a lot of grammar involved in the theme tests (over half the READING test questions!) It comes with a lot of support materials, including a great intervention series where the lower kids are still using the same vocab as the on-level kids. I also like the spelling that comes with it -- word families, similar sounds/different spellings, etc. Overall, I like the series -- I have used the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade versions. My only complaint is all that grammar!
