    Some Suggestions

I would try putting time limits on her, as the other poster suggested. For many kids, that can work wonders!!

When she's working in groups, have the group talk about who is doing what and be sure she is pulling her weight.

You can also talk to her about what you notice. Sometimes that does the trick, bringing it to the child's attention. She might have people at home doing everything for her and this feeling of entitlement is carrying over into the classroom. She may not know it's inappropriate.

In addition, you can have a class meeting about when it's OK to ask someone for help or allow someone to help you when you haven't solicited the assistance, and when it's important to do things for yourself and why.

    Hope this helps.
