i read your post earlier, but didn't reply because i couldn't remember what my student 2 years ago had! kerry reminded me--it is something like encropesis. my student had some mental issues going on (much older parents
who let him do whatever--stay up VERY late at a rated R movie, eat way too much chocolate--yah, great idea for a poop problem!) who knows which came first--issues that caused this problem or the problem causing issues? my student didn't do it for attention--he'd try to sneak out without anyone ever knowing if he could--but most of the time, he smelled.

your guy obviously has something

going on--whether it's physical or emotional. you can bet that it's not a fun thing for him. just let him know you're on his side and that you'll do whatever you can to help him. and keep your support system close and strong.

take it easy on us posters, too--we all feel for you and your kiddo--we all would like to help you. unfortunately, realistically, none of us probably can--we can only sympathize (or empathize!) good luck.
