writing workshop
By Mrs. Neff

Clip to ScrapBook
I, too, teach second grade and teaching writing is what I struggle with the most. I've been to many workshops, meetings, etc. One helpful thing I've learned is that when you teach a mini-lesson on a certain topic...partner your kids, so they have someone to talk to and help them when they ahve questions. After you teach them something, let them have a few minutes to talk with their partner about how they can use that info in their writing.
