Cold room
By MA

Clip to ScrapBook
I wish I could send some of my heat your way! One of the registers in my room can't be turned off -- the knob is broken -- and honestly it feels like a bake oven when I walk in in the mornings. I open all of the windows
and even turn on the ac, but it is still hot. The janitor is trying to locate a knob -- but the register is sooooo old that I don't know if they will be able to find one. About your cold floors -- would it be possible to have your kids bring sleeping bags to school to rest on? Maybe you could incorporate a "camping theme" into your lesson plans and even make smores (microwavable). Carpet
squares would even be better to rest on than your cold floor. You can usually get carpet squares from a store that sells carpet for not much money. If they knew your situation they might even donate them. Then you could tape 3 or 4 together with duct tape to make small mats. Good luck!
