subbing
By Rosie

Clip to ScrapBook
It doesn't hurt to register to sub. Even if you sub one day a week it puts your face in front of the principals. Who would you rather hire - someone who has subbed in your building or someone you have never seen before? Remember, if you are subbing principals will see you in the classroom, halls and office. When you are ready to start applying it gives you an opportunity to say I am about to become certified and I was hoping that you would keep me in mind should any positions open up. I subbed in a school and gave the principal my resume and ended up getting a permanent sub position in the district. I was able to use that experience to get a classroom of my own elsewhere. Good luck.
