guided reading
By Linda

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! I know the experts say don't do round robin reading, but sometimes that is the only way I get to hear some of my kids---they are at Title One reading during self selected reading time. I am not sure about the issue with kids not wanting to read out loud if they are struggling. Maybe my kids just are so low they don't know they are struggling --- but when I ask for volunteers to read my lowest readers always raise their hands. I call on them if I think they can get through with minimal mistakes. Even if they make a lot of mistakes they still keep raising their hands!
