I'm not familiar with the book, but if it has a good story, especially with cliffhangers, they might stay into it for that long. I think also, that I'd make sure I have a dedicated 15-20 minute reading time each day to make sure I got through it in as timely a fashion as I could. Personally, if I don't set that time in stone I tend to push the read-aloud aside for other "more important" things.Harry Potter books are long--any comments from folks who have read them to students? Were they too long??
