spelling list - another idea

Hi - I teach 2nd grade.... I think spelling lists with specific phonics patterns are extremely important to children that age. On a side note, I brainstorm monthly lists of words that the children can use in their writing where words like skeleton, Halloween, and ghost might come up. I post the lists around the classroom so the children can use it as a spelling reference in their daily writing. Hope that's helpful!
