It is very frustrating having to run all over the school just to get into your classroom. And it takes up our time we have before the students arrive to go over the lesson plans. I understand the rule about subs not having their own keys but sometimes it would be easier if we did. At the elementary school I work at, the Assistant Principal is the one that calls the subs in and she actually told me once that she needs to give me a set of keys because I'm there more than some of the teachers. Too bad she couldn't actually do it.
