I am also in a team teaching situation, and what you are describing is a STUDENT TEACHING situation - there is no team here. If she is getting paid a full time wage, no wonder she is in no hurry to give up this cushy arrangement!! Time to switch before you get an ulcer!!

I agree with the advice from the other posters, she has to start pulling her weight, like tomorrow!! My suggestion would be to inform the admin (both of them) what this arrangement has come to, and what you will be doing on Thursday night. Then on Thursday night, sit down with her for a "lesson planning meeting". At this point give her the choice to teach alternating lessons with you, planning together, or teach one week on, one week off. This is her choice. Once that issue is decided, plan together, and when the time comes for her lesson, LEAVE THE ROOM!! Say to the students "Mrs On-her Bottom" will be teaching the rest of the lesson, and leave. At this point I would not be offering to observe and critique her, if her self esteem is that low, that will be enough to send her off the deep end. For the first while I'd leave the room and have important duties elsewhere so she absolutely has to work. Gently slide yourself back into the room after a while and become either a team, or each others assistant. This is a huge waste of $$$$ and a huge imposition on you. You deserve half of her cheque!!! Sheesh, I'm getting really upset for you!!
