It almost sounds like you are bitter about something here. I think the original point was how hard this student tries. Some students try so hard and then fall just short of their intendend outcome. Some work so hard and
never even get close. I think we need to look at all these students. I'm sure this teacher does. It was so frustrating to look for a job and fall short almost every single time. I finally landed one but it took over 25 applications and close to 10 interviews. I knew that many times I came in 2nd place. The world is hard enough without making issues out of little things in 2nd grade.
Why do we ever have to bring these kids self esteem down and say "hey your not perfect." What is wrong with a high self esteem and a little bit of confidence. No one is saying this student walks around high and mighty and better than anyone else. I'm sure she will come under many downfalls throughout her life. Let's not use little things to prove big points.
