Handing out papers
By Helena

Clip to ScrapBook
I usually choose two sensible appearing students to hand out papers, dividing the stack in half. If there is more than one lot of papers in a day, then I pick a different pair the next time. Sometimes, I pick a child who isn't settled - often that legal walk around the room is a big help to them in getting on task.

While the papers are being handed out, I am watching for children who are disengaged - talking, fiddling, whatever. I work only with K-6, so the situation may be different with bigger kids.
