Not as long as I thought it would

Graduated in 1990. Got a job right after. Taught two years. Quit to stay home with my kids for ten years. Went back to grad school to renew my certificate and add an endorsement. Planned to sub this fall but was surprised by a job offer at the end of August. I feel very lucky as there are 100s of applicants for every one teaching job (at least here in MI).
