I think that you are being extremely unfair to Ellyn. Whether or not what you have written is true, (since there is no way of absolutely knowing if this Ellyn is the same one you are refering to) she had a legitimate concern
having to do with teaching her class and I feel that if you could not be constructive in someway you should not have posted at all. We all have had parents that for some reason or another we have needed to vent about or ask advice about. Since we do not write names of parents or collegues it is not hurting anyone to have an extra ear to listen to and ask advice from. Whether Ellyn has

been unsupportive of other teachers or not is not the issue, she needs support at this time and should be given it. Maybe if this is the same person it will make her more lenient to the concerns of others on the board.
