Good advice
By TLC

Clip to ScrapBook
I think the other posters are giving good advice. I would start with a conference. Fawn over her a bit and then encourage her to come 20 minutes early. If she won't then explain that you are going to start on time and to
please be silent and unobtrusive so that you can teach. Is she aware that you are counting him tardy everyday? You will just have to gently tell her that she may not come disrupt the last ten minutes of your day. Ten minutes times 25 children is a whole lot of lost teaching time! Can you pack the children up early so that they are ready to go and then be gone from the room the last 15 minutes
of the day? Trade specials, library, viewing artwork in the hall, etc. If you could keep that up for a week or so she might get the hint. I am truly sorry that her child has medical problems, but you srill have to be fair to the rest of the class.
