Bringing to class
By Sabrina

Clip to ScrapBook
I would talk to her about the use of classtime. Tell her how valuable you classtime is and that you like to use every minute you can. Ask her to please bring her child in 20 minutes before the school bell rings, so you can use all your classtime once the bell has rung. Tell her you know she isn't being disruptive on purpose but you have a lot of kids that are easily distracted by what is going on in the mornings.

I really wouldn't push the issue too much. It really does sound minor and like something you can learn to ignore. If talking to her doesn't work, I would just go on with my normal routine like the parent wasn't there.
