Think of it this way, basically this student is complaining because your class is challenging her. AND IT SHOULD! It is an IB program! As the above poster said, students sometimes complain about all sorts of things that
are justified or not. You will get used to it, and will soon be able to avoid personalizing it.

I would take it with a grain of salt, find the positives (like the fact that you are challenging your students), and examine if there are any truths in what was said. Take this as an opportunity to self-evaluate. *** I WOULD approach the student or class (whatever is appropriate for the situation)

about coming to you first to discuss problems they are having with the class, rather than going to an outside person - who may or may not have any control over what goes on in your classroom.
