Tenure

The purpose of tenure is to protect good teachers from bad administrators. I've seen some insane teachers, but I've also seen equally insane administrators who for some perceived wrong would have gotten rid of an excellent and beloved teacher. Tenure is not an automatic and a teacher who has been at a school for awhile deserves to be protected.
