All the school systems in my county (yes county) do not allow a choice of placement. If you are available you must go where ever they say or be booted out of the system. All the schools in the 5 districts work together
on this. This means you never know what time you will work either. High School begins at 7 am so I get up at 5 am - have to be dressed and ready and have snow and ice off the car before sitting by the phone. Middle school begins at 730 and elementary at 8 - so their you sit waiting (hoping the ice and snow don't have to be removed again). You might get called to do noon recess (7 bucks

a day - barely pays for gas to get there). You might get called to serve food (never know what to wear). You might get called to gone on a field trip and have to slog through rain and mud. You get no choices. The economy here stinks so there are a ton of people to sub. If you are a relative of someone you will of course get the cushey jobs. So be glad you can choose.
