I too had this problem, except that I prefer to work in the middle school. When the phone rings at 6:30am, and you hear the familar "Are you available today?" It is perfectly okay to ask if "Are there any elementry job's today?" Usually they will tell you yes or no. If you don't want middle school then ask how to get your name on the elementry list only. This should work. Also, if you turn down work, they will call again the next morning. I promise.
