student choice

I had one day of the week that the students could have a choice of what to do for their spelling homework. Some of the choices were to cut the letters out from the newspaper and glue them onto paper, find the entire word in the newspaper, make them out of alphabet soup, write them in "fancy" writing (bubble letters, curlie cues, etc), Tape record themselves spelling each word 3 times, or type them several times in diffrent fonts and e-mail them to me (to my school account). They liked it because they got to choose and it was something diffrent.
