I completely agree! I don't understand why parents take the students' side before they find out what happens from the teacher. My mom always said that if I got in trouble at school, I was getting in even more when I got home. Now parents seem to think that their kids can do no wrong! I know what you mean about feeling unappreciated, but it sounds like your administration doesn't back you up at all. Did they give you suggestions about what to do since they don't want you to take away recess time or give assignments? Are you allowed to separate them at lunch? My kids hate to have to sit alone during lunch time.
