I do the shape picture as well and precut the shapes. I also make a shape book, we have been doing a shared reading with the book I See Colours, and learning the sight words I and see. So we make an I see Shapes book,
page1: I see cirlces- the children use bingo dappers to make cirlces.
page 2: I see triangles- I precut construction paper triangles.
page 3: I see squares- gummy square stickers.
page4: I see rectangles- precut rectangles out of fun foam.
page5 I see shapes.

I also use a lot of manips, pattern blocks, goeboards ect... ect. for the children to make shapes.
