It depends on the grade but you can also do such things as graphing, sorting, statistics (give each student a small bag of jelly bellies, the sample size...maybe they will send you a class supply if you request it?) Open
one bag infront of the class, use an overhead with circles labeled by colors. Sort the colors. Have the students discuss if they believe that each bag has the same numbers of colored beans in each bag. Then have them sort. Share the results.

The graphing idea can be as simple as having a tasting station and then have the students go to a voting "booth" and vote on their favorite flavor.

Follow up with a talk about being in a country where you can freely vote for the things, ideas, or people we like.

A follow up art idea also could be making jelly bean creatures. Draw a jelly bean shape and add the details.
