Parents
By NJ Teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
I think it is her loss, and you'd be better off without her child. That way, you wouldn't have to worry that she was going to appear with some off-base problem every time you turn around. I do hope the principal asks her
to focus on something that she feels has happened THIS year to HER child. In our town, parents gather around the town pool in the summer, and the rumor mill grows. Everyone's experience is different, and the right teacher for one child might not be right for another. Parents are also often given too much power with regard to teacher requests. I just wish sometimes that the principal could
answer, "All our teachers are excellent professionals, and your child was placed by the grade level team from last year based upon his/her strengths and needs as a student," and leave it at that. Good luck to you with whatever happens.
