Subbing
By Tricia

Clip to ScrapBook
When I student taught, the sub either read a novel or took a nap in the rocker! Very strange experience! When I subbed in a room that had a student teacher I would talk to them prior to class after looking the plans over and would find out what made them comfortable! I would usually sit in the corner with a book, but made eye contact with students to show that if they gave the student teacher a hard time then they would have me to deal with! Just remember...the student teacher is more than likely nervous about your being there and watching. Talk together ahead of time and make the situation comfortable for all, especially the student who might be terrified!
