Visit the schools
By Emma k

Clip to ScrapBook
Visit a few more schools in your area on days when you aren't working. Take around some business cards (with your name, the # needed to access you, etc.) and leave a few in the office and/or staff room (with the approval
of the secretary or principal). Go in to the office and introduce yourself and tell them that you've begun subbing and would really LOVE to sub at their school, should the need arise. Go in with a smile on your face and dressed in a manner that portrays you as a professional. Have a copy of your resume/credentials if needed. And give it time. Almost all of us need the money - that's
pretty much a given - but it takes time to distinguish yourself as someone who does a super job and it's THAT which will garner you lots of work (okay, THAT and a few viruses and some teacher meetings, etc.!)
